One ant in your kitchen isn’t just one ant. Ants travel in scouts — what you’re seeing is one member of a colony that’s likely nesting nearby, inside a wall, under a foundation, or in the yard. The colony doesn’t go away on its own.
Ehlers treats common ants, carpenter ants, and everything in between. Carpenter ants in particular require specialized treatment — they’re not the same problem as a trail of pavement ants and they don’t respond to the same approach.
When we come out, a certified technician assesses what type of ant you’re dealing with, where they’re coming from, and what treatment makes sense for your specific situation. We don’t flat-rate ant problems over the phone.
Wasp and hornet problems get worse as summer progresses. A small nest in May becomes a colony of hundreds by September — and by then it’s significantly more dangerous and more expensive to treat.
Ehlers handles paper wasps, yellow jackets, and hornets. We don’t treat honeybees — those get referred to a beekeeper.
Two different problems require two different approaches:
Paper wasps build visible nests on soffits, eaves, and overhangs. Monthly service keeps nests knocked down consistently through the season before they have a chance to grow.
Yellow jackets go into voids and ground holes. For large properties or extensive coverage needs, we use Pro Spray equipment — high-volume treatment that covers what a standard backpack sprayer can’t. Treated on a one-time or as-needed basis.
Schedule your inspection. A certified technician will assess what you’re dealing with and tell you exactly what needs to happen next.
No gimmicks. Just getting it done.
